It's amazing that BMW didn't make an X4 M before, but the sporty SUV-coupe is here, and we're eager to see how it compares to other models of its kind. Carwow is the first to put together a drag featuring, featuring three other SUVs, which frankly seem overpowered for the job.
The X4 M's only direct competitor is the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 Coupe, though the Alfa Romeo Stelvio QV also plays in this league. Ironically, despite using completely different engines, the three have exactly the same power output - 510 horsepower.

But Carwow probably didn't have any of those available, so it lineup up some bigger, V8-powered competitors. One of them is the new Mercedes-AMG G63, a true heavyweight that boasts 585 horsepower from its 4-liter bi-turbo unit. It doesn't have awesome launch control, but the 850 Nm of torque does a good job of getting you to where you're going.

The Cayenne Turbo Coupe is probably making its drag racing debut here as well. But underneath that sexy new body is the familiar powertrain of any Porsche V8 turbo, making 550 horsepower and 770 Nm of torque. Ironically, it's not the most expensive SUV here, which is amazing when you consider it win the race convincingly.

The wild card here is the Ebola Bulldog. What, it's not called Ebola? Sorry, a Bowler Bulldog, which is a stripped-down version of the old Land Rover Defender, stripped of all non-essentials and stiffened so it can deal with its new supercharged 5-liter V8 with 550 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. The gearbox and AWD are also from the Range Rover Sport. At 1.8 tons, it's the lightest car here, narrowly edging out the BMW X4 M.

But the streamlined, purpose-built M car does well for itself, crossing the quarter-mile finish line in second place. BMW fans are going to like that.
