So you complained about the prices of new BMWs, right? You thought $64,000 for an M4 is an outrage, huh? Well, the new BMW X4 was just launched in Malaysia. Guess how much it costs? In local money, RM439,000 which, at today’s rates is around $138,431. Felling lucky now?
There’s more bad news for prospective Malaysian BMW enthusiasts as well. The X4 is available in only one version, the xDrive28i in a couple of variations.

You can have it either in the stock, xLine version that costs RM439,000 ($138,000) or in the M Sport version that will cost an additional RM30,000 taking the price up to RM479,000 ($151,000).

The cheaper alternative comes in with 19” Y spoke alloys and matte chrome trims for the tailpipes, aluminum matte trims inside the cabin, xLine door finishers, the hi-fi surround sound system, Nevada leather, sports leather steering wheel with paddles and the automatic 8-speed ZF gearbox with which the 2-liter 245 HP engine like to dance.

The M Sport alternative will include different, M Sport 19” wheels, the M Sport aerodynamic design on the outside, access to M Sport exclusive colors (like Melbourne Red or Estoril Blue), head-up display, M door sill finishers, M Sport steering wheel and the Harman Kardon sound system.

As you can see, you get plenty of kit for that price tag but it still seems a lot for our taste.
