Since BMW decided to unveil the BMW X4 Concept to the world at Shanghai, they had to do it right. As the Bavarian company knows how important the mass-media and online publications are for the success of a car, Harvinder from Paultan.org got the chance to discuss all about the new concept with some important people that will be responsible for its success.
Talking about the X4, Richard Jakoby, BMW Product Manager said that it will be aiming at a new kind of customer, one that is looking for a mid-range SUV that is really sporty, with an emotional design. Furthermore, he confirmed 2014 will be the year we'll be seeing the new car on the streets of the world. Talking about the price, Jakoby said it will be somewhere between the X3 and X5.

Going over the design of the car, Sebastian Simm, the designer responsible for the amazing looks of the X4 said that the new Concept wanted to 'blend the character of an SUV with a BMW Coupe'. The lower part of the car comes from the SUV heritage with the high ground clearance and big wheels, while the roof comes from the BMW Coupes with its sloping character lines.

Unfortunately, the interior of the car wasn't showcased but we don't expect it to be much different from the X3's and BMW's in general. We'll just have to wait for more info for the time being.
