The BMW X3 has recently received a new entry-level version for the British market. We are talking about the X3 sDrive18d, the first UK-destined X3 to use rear-wheel drive, which will hit the market in October.
This uses a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder TwinPower Turbocharged diesel, which offers 143 bhp and 266 lb-ft (360 Nm) of torque, with the latter being offered between 1,750 and 2,500 rpm. The official figures show a 0 to 62 mph time of 9.9 seconds and a top speed of 121 mph (195 km/h).
The engine uses a standard six-speed manual, returning an efficiency of 55.4 UK mpg (46.1 US mpg or 5.1 liters per 100 km), but an optional eight-speed automatic is also available. Customers can choose between two trim levels, SE and M Sport, with pricing starting at GBP28,850 (this is the on-the-road price).
