The automotive world seems to be going crazy lately. BMW is trying to cover all possible niches and in that regard, this year alone, 3 new models from the Bavarian manufacturer will be released. How about a forth?
There's been a lot of ruckus online about a possible BMW X2 that wasto be unveiled somewhere in 2016 and was supposed to be a coupe-styled brother of the X1, kind-of the same way the X6 is to the X5 and the X4 will be for the X3.

CAR Magazine sources claim that is highly unlikely though, even if BMW is looking to cover all possible niches at the moment. According to them, BMW has no plans for an entry-level X2 so far and neither do the main competitors from Stuttgart and Ingolstadt.

That's interesting news, and if their sources are correct, all the renderings and rumors we've heard lately will prove to be false. However, we suspect BMW might have some other surprises up their sleeve and we'll be seeing some new models being tested in heavy camouflage pretty soon.
