BMW Australia today announced the introduction of the exclusive M Sport package for the X1 crossover model. It will be available for order sometime this spring and comprises suspension, exterior and interior components specially developed for the current model.

The X1 can now be specified with the M Aerodynamics package, door sills with the “M” logo and BMW Individual High Gloss Shadow Line trim for the side window surrounds and roof rails. Also available for the exterior are the metallic paint colors Alpine White, Le Mans Blue, Sapphire Black, Space Grey, Vermillion Red and Mineral White. A set of 17” M light alloy wheels in Double-Spoke style are fitted as standard, while 18” M light alloy wheels are an optional extra.

Inside the crossover, the standard upholstery is enhanced by the addition of sport seats trimmed in exclusive Grey Shadow cloth or Alcantara Anthracite upholstery which is offered as standard with the X1 M Sport package. The look is complimented by the BMW Individual roofliner in Anthracite. Other features include dark cross-brushed aluminum interior trim, M leather steering, M gearshift lever for vehicles with six-speed manual transmission and a leather handbrake lever gaiter.

When it comes to performance, all X1 variants benefit from the inclusion of the specially tuned M Sport suspension, guaranteeing improved performance and control when cornering. On xDrive models, BMW’s Performance Control is available and improves torque distribution between the rear wheels to give more dynamic cornering characteristics and increased agility.
