BMW’s Individual Manufaktur division outdid themselves recently, working on a BMW M6 Coupe for one of the company’s racecar drivers, Marco Wittmann.
Last year’s rookie in the DTM had a great start this year in the German Touring Car Championship, winning the first race of the 2014 Season after starting out from the second spot on the grid.

Aboard his new BMW M4 DTM car, the 24-year old German driver managed to claim the 60th checkered flag for the Bavarians since they entered the competition for the first time, in 1984.

To show their appreciation, the company decided to offer him a brand new F13 M6 done to his exact requirements that would take car of the rising start both on and off the track.

Therefore, the Individual Manufaktur team was called in to provide the needed expertise. The car was ‘dressed’ in the intense “Fire Orange” color that was initially destined only for the limited-run BMW E92 M3 GTS that is still the fastest M3 ever to go round the Nurburgring.

Inside, the same color was applied to the dashboard and seat stitching alongside the trim highlights. An Alcantara-covered M Performance steering wheel with custom stitching and a Bang & Olufsen sound system with dark brushed aluminum casings complete the interior experience.

On the outside, the car was done to Marco’s wishes. The mirror covers, for example, were painted glossy black and all the chrome trims on the outside were changed with dark chrome ones.

Round the back, an M Performance exhaust was installed, made by Akrapovic out of titanium, with carbon fibre tips while the wheels were also blacked out, just like the boot lid spoiler made of the same lightweight material.

Under the bonnet, the 4.4-liter V8 engine received the Competition Package treatment and the car is now pushing 575 HP and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque to the rear wheels through the 7-speed DCT gearbox.

To keep that massive power in check, the optional Carbon Ceramic Brakes with golden 6-pot calipers up front and 4-pot ones at the back were included in the mix, an optional feature worth $9,250 alone.
