The 38 edition of the "Ten Best" awards saw BMW winning a massive 4 out of the 10 categories. While winning the Cycle World "Best" award in any category is itself a huge accomplishment for any motorcycle manufacturer, "earn four in one year is just phenomenal,” added Hans Blesse, Vice President, BMW Motorrad USA.

For the "Best Superbike", the price went to BMW HP4, a bike which received enormous praise in all the markets it reached and which is most likely one of the new benchmarks in superbike performance.

The "Best Adventure Bike" went to the liquid-cooled R1200GS for the third year in a row. The 1200GS has an almost cult following in the US, and this new title is as consummate a proof as possible.

The K1600GT and K1600GTL won the "Best Sport Touring" and "Best Touring" categories. Aside from their mechanical capabilities and comfort-focused engineering, the K1600 platform became also famous for being the lightest and most compact 6-cylinder on a production bike, introducing the first Xenon adaptive headlights on a motorcycle and for implementing top-notch advanced audio and communication systems and the most advanced handlebar-mounted bike settings controller.

We might say it's game on for the next year and the competition will have a tough time beating such an outstanding performance.
