The Tokyo Motor Show 2015 is going to open its doors on October 30 and will keep going in full swing until November 8, 2014, celebrating the various world and local debuts. The BMW Group will, of course, attend this event, the biggest in Japan and one of the largest in Asia altogether.

Since we just learned about the M4 GTS yesterday, it’s only natural for BMW to launch it in the metal at the first auto show at hand and that just happens to be the Tokyo Motor Show 2015. That being said, we’re rather disappointed that we won’t get to see the special edition M car at a bigger venue such as the LA Auto Show or the Detroit one but hey, it’s their decision.

The M4 GTS will also be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the BMW M3 when it goes on sale next year. Yes, I know it sounds ridiculous, but the M4 is the successor of the M3 Coupe after all. To go further into detail, this will also mark the world premiere of the first road-going production car that uses water injection technology and OLED lighting.

With 500 HP and 600 Nm (433 lb-ft) of torque coming in from the 3-liter inline 6-cylinder engine, the M4 GTS is the fastest BMW ever made with a sprint of 3.8 seconds to 100 km/h (62 mph).

The Asian debuts will be represented by the new 7 Series, the 2016 BMW X1 as well as the 330e and 225xe plug-in hybrids. Chances are the 7er on the stage will also be a plug-in hybrid which would be the 740e fitted with a 2-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor that are good, when working together, of 313 HP.

The other two models use different layouts. The 330e also has a 2-liter mill under the bonnet but tuned to make 184 HP instead while the 225xe Active Tourer Hybrid uses a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder engine. Either way, all of them are supposed to offer up to 22 miles of electric range (35 km) and go up to a top speed of 75 mph (120 km/h) without the internal combustion engine interfering.

Of course the i3 and i8 models will also be on the scene but they won't be celebrating any special occasion.
