BMW’s all-wheel-drive system, known as xDrive, will be available for more versions of the 4 Series, and the recently launched 7 Series will also get more 4x4 options, and so will the 2 Series Gran Tourer.

Meanwhile, the 3 Series will get a new four-cylinder diesel engine for its 325d Sedan and Touring versions. The new unit will develop 224 HP and have a fuel consumption of 4.6-4.9 liters/100 km in standard EU cycle for the 325d Sedan, and 4.9-5.2 liters/100 km for the 325d Touring. The value ranges between the mentioned figures depend on the tire and wheel combination chosen by the buyer.

Another significant part of this update made by BMW to its portfolio will include new equipment additions in the standard and optional ranges of several models. For example, the X6 will be fitted in standard with a rear-view video camera. The same camera system will also be made a standard element for the X5M and X6M. Their “regular” brothers will feature the Park Distance Control system, BMW’s fancy name for its set of parking sensors, as standard equipment.

The BMW 2 Series Convertible and its 4 Series equivalents will be available with a new Ope Air Package. The optional Open Air package includes a heated steering wheel, a three-stage neck warmer, wind deflector, HiFi speaker system, and a through-loading system in the rear seats, that allows fitting longer items in the trunk.

Meanwhile, the 6 Series range will receive the ConnectedDrive navigation package as standard equipment. The upgrade to the 6 Series range will include a new menu display for the company’s iDrive system, as well as wireless charging and Wi-Fi hotspot functions. The latter equipment will be available as optional elements in the X3 and X4 ranges starting April 2016, and customers can also order an Advantage variant of these SUVs as an alternative to the standard version.

Munich’s flagship, the 7 Series, can be ordered with its remote control parking option for all variants. Furthermore, BMW will allow customers to specify new exterior paint finishes, upholstery colors, and BMW Individual interior trim.
