Even though the Welt is usually reserved for BMW customers who travel here in order to pick up their cars, this weekend things were a little different. All 8 BMW DTM drivers presented their respective cars four weeks before the official season opener.

The proceedings started with Prince Leopold of Bavaria who drove the a first generation BMW M3 DTM onto the delivery area, followed by BMW Motorsport Director, Jens Marquardt and Maxime Martin, test and development driver, that came in aboard the new 2013 BMW M3 DTM Safety-Car.

After the 3 entered the delivery area, they were joined by Bruno Spengler, Dirk Werner, Augusto Farfus, Joey Hand, Martin Tomczyk, Andy Priaulx, Marco Wittmann and Timo Glock, along with their racing cars.

There were so many visitors present at the event that it was impossible for all of them to enter the delivery area so the event was transmitted live on TV Screens in the basement of BMW's Welt.

“For us it’s been heartwarming to give our loyal fans the chance of getting really close to the BMW DTM project. I’m sure none of those involved today will have witnessed a launch like this before,” said Jens Marquardt, following the event.
