Back in February, BMW UK announced that it’s looking for the Ultimate Driver to go with their Ultimate Driving Machine, in a really interesting Facebook app that tested your driving skills.
Over 7,000 contestants entered out of which 40 were selected to battle it out on a couple of specially designed courses. Over here, BMW works driver Andy Priaulx and other experienced drivers taught them how to handle the brand new 2 Series.
The first challenge was mastering the car on a wet surface, at high speed. After that, a drifting competition followed just to be quickly made obsolete by the telemetry challenge.
In the end they picked a winner. After careful debates and number readouts, Mr. Duncan Smart that will get to drive all the new models BMW launches this year.
What will those be? Well, out the top of our heads we can include the 2 Series (which he already drove), the 4 Series Convertible, the 4 Series Gran Coupe, the X4 and, best of all, the new M3 and M4 which he will get to test out on a proper track in Austria, all expenses paid for by BMW!
