Are you ready for some Jazz gigs? BMW sure is with this year’s Welt Jazz Award due to take place next week. The musical event is part of the long line of cultural activities the Germans are investing their money in and the finals are about to kick of. Best part: the entrance is free.
After all, why not, let’s leave all the serious talk aside for a second here and talk about music. Yep, BMW you’re right, people should have some fun for a change. Anyway, that seems to be the message and we have to admit, with the weekend being just around the corner, we kind of like it. OK, we’ll play this game. Let us take a closer look.

First of all, you’re going to have to be in Munich to attend to one of the two concerts left. The BMW Welt Jazz Award will present its final two free Sunday matinees as part of a series of six concerts held at the double-coned structure of the BMW Welt HQ. The building itself is quite a star among the brand’s fans, since more than 3 million people visited the place last year alone.

The maker of the beautiful i8 claims the building is Bavaria’s most visited attraction and has become a real magnet for visitors since its opening in 2007.

Anyway, back to the music. So, like we said, two bands will be performing. The first is French trio “Manu Codjia Trio” and they are about to hit the cords on March 8th. Swedish ensemble “Carl Morner Ringstrom Makestic Orchestra” are next in line and they are due to play March 15 for a spot in the grand finale during the last matinee.

You can further look into details on the program of the BMW Welt Jazz Award 2015 in the press release below, but in case you are in Munich next month, you’ll most likely want to know that the admission is free of charge but seating is limited. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.
