The number 20 BMW Z4 GT3 car, driven by Martin Tomczyk, Dirk Adorf and Jens Klingmann had an impressive run and finished 59 seconds behind Audi's Marcel Fassler and Frank Stippler, in the 55th ADAC ACAS H&R Cup.

The race had terrible weather conditions and Dirk Adorf started out in the wet with low visibility. When the track began to dry out, Tomczyk managed to gain some time and Klingmann took over for the last part of the race.

The other Z4 did rather well too. Driven by Dirk Muller and Augusto Farfus, the number 19 car managed to finish 8th after entering the race at number 24th on the starting grid.

Considering the conditions, the cars did good enough to almost please the Schubert Team Manager, Stefan Wendl which said he was satisfied with the end result.

“Conditions were really difficult and tricky today – even if you judge them by Eifel standards at this time of the year. That’s why it’s difficult to draw any conclusions with regard to the 24-hour race on the basis of today’s results. We used this race as a test and were able to try some different strategies with changeable conditions. Nevertheless, we are delighted with this strong result. This shows we are on the right path," said Stefan after the race.
