In the first four races of this year's American Le Mans Series, BMW managed to win 2, one at Long Beach and one at Pikes Peak, in the GT class, with their new BMW Z4 GTE.
Round five will be taking place at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada, on July 21st with BMW Team RLL focusing on increasing Dirk Muller's lead in the Driver Championship and making it to the top of the Manufacturer and Team points.
At the moment, the lead is being held by Chevrolet in the Manufacturer's Championship. BMW is tied for second place in the Team's Championship, tied with Corvette Racing Team in points.
In the Driver's Championship, Dirk Muller leads by 16 points, managing a 7th place at Sebring, 2nd place at Long Beach, 3rd place at Laguna Seca and a win with co-driver Edwards at Lime Rock Park.
“l am really looking forward to one of my favorite race tracks – Mosport. This one is a big driver’s track and we definitely would like to keep the momentum going! Our win at Lime Rock was a big push. John will be there to observe and help Joey and me. No doubt that will be a big help,” said the German driver about the upcoming race.
