BMW Takes to the Concorso d'Eleganza

As the tenth consecutive year patron of the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, German manufacturer BMW will attend the event set to debut on 24th of April with "some rare beauties on four wheels". Even more so as the manufacturer celebrates its 80th anniversary.

Among them will be a BMW 303, the first BMW car to boast the now famous twin-kidney radiator grille, as well as a BMW 502, which earned its place in the automotive annals as the so-called "baroque angel".

The hippie era will be represented by the BMW 2002, while the founder models of the BMW series in the seventies will also be on display. BMW will bring along all of its legendary roadsters spanning the past 75 years: from the 315/1 and 319/1 to the 328 and 507, all the way to the Z1, Z3 and Z8, as well as the latest addition to the family, the new BMW Z4.

Alongside BMW, two other manufacturers will celebrate their centennial: Bugatti and Morgan. The first will bring at the event four special models of the Bugatti Veyron, painted in racing colors of the relevant countries: blue for France, red for Italy, green for Britain and white for Germany.

Morgan, as we reported earlier this month, will present the evolution of the original, 100 year old "3-wheeler for people with little money but a sense of adventure". This time, the vehicle will be a two seater, built on the Morgan Aeromax platform.

As we said, the event debuts on April the 24th. On Sunday, two days after the opening the Concorso will open the gates to neighboring Villa Erba to all car fans, who will again have the opportunity to experience the featured vehicles.
