It seems like the rumor mill surrounding a possible supercar from BMW won’t slow down until the company actually does it. The latest info on the matter comes from the guys over at Autobild.
They claim that, according to their anonymous sources, a possible BMW M8 might show up in 2016, featuring a twin-turbo V8 engine making around 600 HP, somewhat similar to the S63Tu unit used today in the Munich-based company’s line-up.
Furthermore, it seems like the body of the car will be based on the i8, with its lightweight design and CFRP construction, not to mention the amazing drag coefficient and 1,500 kg (3,300 lbs) weight.
With a 600 HP engine and weighing only around 1 and a half tones, you can probably imagine just how fast the car will turn out to be, if BMW ever decides to do it. Keep your fingers crossed!
