This weekend, in Mountain View California, BMW, in partnership with ChargePoint Inc. and DriveNow, will host a so-called Hackathlon, an event meant to bring together more than 200 developers, entrepreneurs, electric vehicle experts and corporate executives to develop new solutions for sustainability issues.
The event will take place at the BMW Group Technology Office USA, at 2606 Bayshore Pkwy on Saturday and Sunday. Organizers say that they are looking for technical and non-technical people to build apps, mobile apps and find solutions to some of the most pressing issues surrounding EV and EV Charging.

The guests will eat and compete for prizes across various categories. All ideas presented during this Hackathlon will be evaluated by a jury depending on originality, ability to articulate the details of the application, technologies used and the level of completion of the hack over the course of the event.

“Personal mobility is about keeping drivers connected and informed. Forums like this hackathon foster creativity and collaboration and help create the solutions that make the EV driving experience better. We are proud to be a sponsor of this event,” said Tavis Szeto, director of marketing of ChargePoint.
