BMW Shows Yachtsport Collection

After presenting its new Golfsport Collection, BMW has taken another step in meeting the requirements of its customers and presented its new BMW Yachtsport Collection. The producer says that all the items are made of ultramodern materials, created for demanding sailing trips, and designed to make a fashion statement on shore. The line was developed in collaboration with nautical outfitter Henri Lloyd, the expert in technical sailing apparel.

The BMW Yachtsport Collection uses the maritime stripe design in white and blue, so everything matches. The unique feature of the collection is a “logo” of maritime signal flags representing the letters BMW. In addition, the “Match Racer” emblem signifies the challenge of the sport.

BMW Yachtsport Collection offers everything from yachting jackets that resist at any kind of weather, to casual shorts. All are very functional and carefully crafted. For example, the jacket’s material is breathable and wind- and water-repellent, and the hood in signal colors ensures high visibility in case of an emergency. Safety becomes a priority on a yacht, so the jacket features reflective stripes. The hood cords, for example, have no loose ends that could get caught.

BMW’s collection is meant to offer comfortable gear for all the members of the team: ladies, men, and children. From casual shorts to practical fleece vests, the collection covers any occasion and weather.

Yachtsport also offers accessories like a waterproof duffle bag, a seasack and drybag, a cap or sunglasses which might come in handy on the deck. The collection is completed by a wallet, a keyring and a lanyard.
