BMW Showcases 100 Years of Iconic Design in 60 Seconds

In less than 2 years, BMW will be celebrating its centenary, a cause of joy for all of the brand’s fans but also the rest of the automotive world, as the Germans will surely surprise us with a new, anniversary, limited-run car or some new tech.

Either way, before we get to celebrate 100 years of history, the marketing team decided to tease us with a short, 60 second clip that showcases the iconic design of some of the cars BMW made.

Going from day one with the Dixie at the forefront and through such beauties as the 328, 507, New Class, 2002, the first ever 5 Series, 7 Series and all the way down to current models such as the i8 and the concepts that prefaced them, the clip covers most of the iconic cars that ever came out of Bavaria.

I couldn’t help but notice, though, that some models didn’t make the cut, even though they should have. I won’t mention all of them but I think the E36 3 Series and E39 5 Series should’ve been in there too, as they were pretty important and raised their own cults over the years. What other cars do you think should’ve been included?
