BMW S1000 RR Gets the AC Schnitzer Touch

The tuners at AC Schnitzer have been spicing up BMWs for years now, and have had some two-wheeled projects included in their portfolio during this period, so we were kind of seeing this coming. The only question was, however, how mad would the S 1000 RR look and be after passing through the tuners’ skilled hands.

The result did not failed our expectations and the tuners released an aftermarket kit for BMW’s superbike, mostly dedicated to enhancing the visual appearance of the S 1000 RR.

The “Avoid Silence” project, as the tuners like to call it, includes the new handlebar conversion, adjustable brake and clutch levers, a carbon fibre exhaust silencer, crash bungs, performance air-filter and a numberplate hanger.

The handlebar conversion, totally in black, comes with a new brake fluid reservoir that matches the bike’s colors. Made of high strength aerospace aluminum, the adjustable brake and clutch levers have a wide adjustment range to ensure the perfect grip even for small hands. The shade is called Titanium and they are available in a short version as well as the original length.

The Stealth silencer has EC approval, and matches the overall look. Weighing a bit over 1 kg, the silencer has a matt black surface and carbon cap. The registration plate holder is made of stainless steel, it fulfills all requirements for legal fitment and can be used both with standard flashers and most accessory components. The sports air filter from AC Schnitzer does not need replacement, but can be re-used after cleaning.

However, that special something is given by the AC Schnitzer crash pads, in an innovative 3D design meant to prevent drop damage and fit into the design language of the BMW Superbike.

Ac Schnitzer says they are further developing other components as well, which will become available as soon as possible. We, however, are happy with what they have so far...
