A while back we were telling you that BMW is preparing another special edition model, developed in collaboration with audio specialists Bang & Olufsen. However, at that time, we didn’t have the pricing or the technical details behind them.
That all changed this weekend when BMW confirmed our suppositions, releasing the compete info regarding the matter at hand, prices included. Apparently, only 100 650i Gran Coupe models with either rear-wheel-drive setups or all-wheel-drive will be built part of this limited-run range. For those wanting a bit more performance, 10 M6 Gran Coupe versions will also be made.
The 650i versions will be featuring the same 4.4-liter twinturbo V8 engine under the bonnet, making 450 HP and 650 Nm of torque but accompanied by exclusive optional features. The only two paints available are Brilliant White Metallic or Dark Graphite II Metallic, both part of the Individual range.
The interior will be covered in Merino Leather in either Black with Contrast Stitching/Piping or Opal White & Black with Contrast Stitching/Piping. Furthermore, Piano Black Wood Trims with a “BANG & OLUFSEN” inlay on the front cup-holder as well as specially designed floor mats will join in to create a unique atmosphere in the cabin.
Of course, since the cars are done in collaboration with the famous audio systems manufacturer, the cars will be fitted with a 1,200W Bang & Olufsen surround sound system, made up of 16 speakers. All 6 Series Gran Coupe cars will be fitted with the Cold Weather and M Sport packages, while the M6 versions will be featuring the Competition Package, Executive Package and Driver Assistance Plus Package.
Prices start at $116,240 for the 650i B&O edition, $119,240 for the 650i xDrive version and $152,423 for the M6 Gran Coupe models, including the $950 destination and handling tax.
