Not too long ago we were telling you about a unique BMW i8 that will be auctioned for charity at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, dubbed ‘BMW i8 Concours d’Elegance Edition’. While we did our best to describe it to you, it’s true that a picture is worth a thousand words. Therefore, when BMW launched a couple of photos with the car, we simply had to share them with you.
The car will be presented by Gooding & Company and the proceeds will be going to the Pebble Beach Company Foundation and the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance for future purposes.
As you can see in the photo gallery below, the car will have a special paint scheme and a unique interior treatment as well as other features that make it a one-off. On the outside, the Concours d’Elegance Edition model will be sporting an Individual Frozen Grey Metallic paint that is simply stunning on this particular car. With the i blue accents on the outside, it’s impossible to miss it.
Inside, Dalbergia Brown leather upholstery with BMW i Blue accents will welcome you as well as the Pure Impulse Tera World which is the top of the range option for the cabin. As a special gift for whoever wins it, the car will also be fitted with laser lights that are still waiting for approval to be road legal in the US.
Other details also make this a desirable car. For example, the words ‘Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Edition’ will be laser etched into the door sills and a plaque on the rear parcel shelf will have the signatures of BMW executives that helped the i8 come to life. On top of all this, the winner will also get a set of Louis Vuitton luggage bags we’ve told all about earlier this year.
The car will make it on the auction block on Saturday, August 16 at approximately 8:45 PM PDT.
