After the huge number of new cars we saw at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, we really didn’t think there was something that could get us really excited this week. But there is, as BMW’s M-Power has just released a teaser of the M5.
This time, the performance saloon goes to Sweden for a session of hardcore winter driving. We don’t really know what it is about the European country, but just about every carmaker is sending their cars there to do some arduous... work (fun) in the snow. Ferrari also revealed the fist ever video footage of the FF there, but for sideways action in the saloon segment you can’t beat a BMW.
Furthermore, Dr. Kay Segler covers some of the new BMW M5’s details and invites all to register at www.m-power.com for exclusive information on the new and exciting car to wear the ‘M’ badge.
“We believe the new BMW M5 is one of the most fascinating expressions of the BMW M genes ever seen. A business sedan and an automobile with the emotional density and driving experience of a supersports car,” says Segler, according to BMW blog.
What’s interesting about the video is that we can clearly hear the sound of the engine, prompting us to believe this is indeed the rumored V8. For a while now, the Internet has been flooded with information that places a twin-turbocharged 4.4 liter V8 engine sourced from the 5 M/X6 M under the 5’s bonnet.
One of the most anticipated cars to come from the Bavarian manufacturer will also have the M-specific four tailpipe layout we all know and love, plus a massive front air intakes.
