I kind of know this picture will start some flaming, but nevertheless here it is: a not-at-all-subtle way to hint upon some differences between two bikes, and often, two types of riders.
To be honest, I have GS-riding friends who are true adventure riders and are putting their bikes through massive ordeals on Alaska's roads and often off those, too. I am no GS-basher, either.
But I just know that this picture will hit hard into the heart and pride of those posers who got a big GS just because they helped that bike's (partially well-deserved and hard-earned) mojo will be also bestowed on them.
Yes, it's those guys who ride bikes made to cross continents without seeing too much of an asphalt road, and they will never stray off the highway or some backroads (the boldest of them).
The guys who value bike branded gear more than functional, adventure-proven gear and for whom some specs of dust on their all-shiny bike is almost too much adventure.
We all know at least one of such fellows so you know I'm not just being mean...
