The prices for the BMW R nineT Scrambler are still to be announced in a lot of markets, but everybody expects the new machine to sell for less than what BMW asks for the base R nineT model.
In more than a way, this is a natural move, considering the fact that BMW is looking for the best way to enter more markets where the Bavarian bikes are not yet a well-established presence.

The Scrambler is derived from the basic R nineT but comes with certain parts that are specced lower, with the suspension being only the first thing that comes to mind.

Even if this may sound a bit weird to the ears of certain BMW fans, we must not forget that the Heritage range, BMW's newest "world," is not about performance but about the vibe. The R nineT customers don't expect it to be a canyon carver or a match for the S1000R. These guys want to feel good riding this boxer, and they want to be able to personalize it. And because of such reasons, the BMW R nineT Scrambler is one of the best choices.

The proven BMW technology can be obtained for a more affordable price

According to sources in France, the BMW R nineT Scrambler is expected to arrive in dealerships in Q3 2016, with a price of around €13,500. Most people are used with BMW motorcycles to sell for higher prices, but again, BMW has different plans for this one.

Already the base version of the R nineT was available for a price that was lower than what other Bavarian machines went for, and this is why it sold very good in all markets. For the same reason, the BMW R nineT Scrambler may enjoy an even bigger market success, given the fact that customers tend to buy cheaper bikes lately.

As for the R nineT Scrambler, the bike is already proven, with the air-cooled boxer engine being one of the best-selling BMW power plants recently. The tweaks BMW made to obtain the Scrambler are not corners being cut, but adapting the bike to different needs. Wonder how much will BMW ask for the R nineT Scrambler in the US...
