BMW Promotes Diesel MPGs with Burnouts

It's for the US to recognize that diesels are what they used to be anymore. The emissions are extremely low and the advantages plenty and too obvious to ignore.

That's exactly what the North American branch of BMW is trying to achieve, through  a set of carefully planed commercials. Earlier we showed you a game changer featuring a conservative family, now it's time to go wild.

That's because the 535d model is a beast. With 258 HP and 413 lb-ft (560 Nm) of torque it will turn a set of tires into smoke in a matter of minutes. That's perfectly exemplified in the videos below.

Furthermore, the 5er returns 38 mpg (6.1 l/100 km) and is one of the most economical models in its segment. Prices start at $56,600 so you should head on BMW's website and start building your own!
