BMW has announced its BMW Performance brand accessories will soon be available at dealers across North America. The modifications on offer include a number of aesthetic improvements made to the exterior of the 2011 BMW X5.

Among the items being offered is an aerodynamics kit, which consists of a new front bumper, side-sills and an insert for the rear bumper, all finished to match the body color. BMW Performance also boasts of having rear fins in Matt black and a front grid finished in high-gloss black paint. Additionally, BMW Performance has made available a set of black kidney grilles for the X5, which provides a menacing appearance for the front of the vehicle.

On the inside, BMW is offering a new steering wheel and pedal set. The BMW Performance Aluminum Pedal Kit includes gas pedal, brake pedal, and footrest pedal, all crafted out of aluminum with rubber inserts. The pedals fit all models of X5 and provide enhanced pedal feel for the driver.

The Bavarian manufacturer has made available a number of steering wheel variations for the X5. The direct replacement for the factory built model features a thick, racing-style, flattened lower rim and is fully covered in hand-stitched Alcantara material. (not available for X5 Ms and vehicles with Lane Departure Warning).

The X5 SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) rides on unique 21 inch alloy rims that are wrapped in high performance tires. The new accessories go on sale at Authorized BMW Centers across the US this month. The manufacturer has not announced pricing figures as of yet.
