As we’re getting closer and closer to the 2014 DTM Championship, so are we to a new page of history. Since 1987 BMW had only one model racing in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and that was the M3. Next year, the M3 will be retired and replaced by the M4 DTM model.
Whether it was the E30 (the one that started the M3 madness), the E36, the E46 or the E92 model, all of them claimed important victories in motorsport, not just the DTM and made every BMW fan around the world proud to be part of the Bimmer family.

The most impressive display of power though, must be the one in the 2012 DTM championship when, after nearly 20 years of absence, BMW returned to the German racing scene and won the manufacturer’s title and the driver’s title, thanks to Bruno Spengler, proving that the M division didn’t lose its way.

The new website will be showing more and more info about the history behind the M3’s presence in the Motorsport world as we get closer to the M4 DTM unveiling so, if you want to win some tickets to the 2014 DTM Debut race you should check out what they have to say. It’s a pretty interesting read.
