BMW’s involvement with the London Olympics will definitely boost the German brand’s UK image, where BMW drivers are seen as very serious, and the kind of driver who wouldn’t let you out of a side street - other UK motorists wouldn’t let the BMW get onto the main road, either.
So, in an attempt to get attention and further boost their image, BMW have opened a two-storey river-based Pavilion - the latest addition to the Olympic Park. It was conceived by a local architecture firm in such a way to feel modern and fresh, while also having enough room inside for the automaker to display their latest offerings, as well as some of their ‘green’ concepts.

The role of the Pavilion is two-fold – to explain the support we’re providing as the Official Automotive Partner to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, but also to provide a powerful visual symbol of our commitment to the highest standards of innovation in design and sustainability. We look forward to welcoming visitors and guests to the BMW Group Pavilion throughout the Games,” said Tim Abbott, Managing Director, BMW Group UK
