The BMW X6 M Design Edition has been in the works for quite a while now. We actually showed it to you back in July but back then we had only some leaked photos to work with.
Now, BMW officially unveiled the limited-run model and we have to say it looks good. The Design Edition X6 M has a carbon fibre front splitter, matte black grille at the front, carbon fibre rear spoiler and diffuser and 21 inch lightweight alloys on top of what BMW is already offering as standard for the high-performance SAC.

Other unique features include a new combination for the cabin where a combination of Black and Mugello Red leather wraps the dashboard and goes perfectly well with the two-tone Merino leather on the seats and the Piano black trims. An individually-numbered plate and Mugello Red contrast stitching finish off the special cabin.

On the performance side, we don't have any official information at the moment, but we think the Bavarians will stick to what worked until now, the S63 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo engine that develops 555 HP and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque.

Production for this SUV that reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.7 seconds will be limited to 100 units. Prices are expected to be somewhere near EUR130,000.
