The BMW Group brought a whole arsenal of cars at the Tokyo Motor Show 2013, including a world premiere and 2 Asian premieres, in the shape of the 4 Series Convertible, i3 and i8.
As it was expected, a high ranking official was expected to give a speech at the event, since all these cars are most important for the company. The man they sent was Dr. Herbert Diess, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, Development.

Amongst the many things he talked about, the i3 and i8 were emphasized. The new i brand from BMW is expected to sell big in Japan, especially the smaller, cheaper model.

The i3 will be perfect for crowded cities such as Tokyo, where it really shines. Being developed from the ground up as a mega city vehicle, the first BMW EV will prove extremely versatile in such cities.

Another topic of discussion was the world premiere of the 4 Series Convertible, or Cabriolet as it will be called in Japan. The car will be offered both as a 428i and 435i model on the Japanese market. You can check out the full speech in the press release section, below.
