BMW North America Wins Best Marketing Campaign from GPLA

Following the outstanding efforts taken by BMW North America to make the consumers aware of the advantages of electric and hybrid cars, the Green Power Leadership Awards in association with the Center for Resource Solutions handed the company the award for Best Marketing Campaign by a Purchaser of Green Power yesterday.
According to the official press release, the award recognizes "an outstanding promotional campaign by a purchaser of green power, and honors companies or organizations that purchase or generate green power and have actively promoted their use of green power internally or externally in an innovative or compelling way."

The award is just a confirmation and an acknowledgment of the persistent efforts undergone by the guys from BMW over the last 8 years, during which they were ranked number 1 on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index.

Their marketing campaign was most successful because of the extensive usage of models such as the MINI E and 1 Series ActiveE electric vehicles that ushered the introduction of a new era with the new i3.
