May has been the fifth month with a constant growth for the sales of BMW Motorrad, and the increased volumes helped attain improved to-date sales. In May 2015, BMW sold 15,004 motorcycles and maxi-scooters, compared to 14,088 in the same period of the previous year.
This accounts for a 6.5% growth over May 2014, helping BMW Motorrad reach sales that are 6.4% bigger in the first five months of 2015 than in the year-ago period.
The sales of BMW motorcycles in China almost doubled, with more than 1,100 units being sold. "Our market offensive is clearly starting to making itself felt. We believe the future prospects for the Chinese market are very promising," the BMW official adds.
Europe and Asia fueled BMW Motorrad's growth, with R1200GS being once more the strongest player
BMW's biggest growth was recorded in Europe and Asia, but the leading market was, surprisingly or not, China.
