The airbag jacket is not the only new protective gear from BMW next year as it also released two helmets matching both its modern and retro motorcycles.
The BMW Motorrad 2017 catalog highlights two awesome new helmets, starting with the System 7 Carbon model that was designed as a high-end do-it-all helmet.

Replacing the popular System 6 EVO, the System 7 Carbon is said to set a new benchmark in terms of safety, versatility, and aerodynamic properties. For example, the helmet can be converted from a full-face model to an open one by simply taking off the chin guard. It takes only a couple minutes and requires no tools.

Don't want to take it down? Then simply flip it up for an open experience at slower speeds on a hot summer day.

As the name suggests, the exterior shell is made out of carbon fiber and has reinforcement inserts, with BMW claiming the helmet surpasses all safety standards while weighing just 1,580 g or 1,680 g, accordingly to size.

The interior is made out of multiple EPS segments and different thickness foam padding to offer best shock absorption and increased comfort. As with all helmets out there, all the interior pads can be removed and washed.

The three-dimensionally curved MaxView visor offers excellent view in all weather conditions while also increasing the field of view compared to its predecessor. The helmet also comes with an optimized aero spoiler, integrated sun visor, and ample ventilation system.

The System 7 Carbon is available in Black, Light White, metallic Graphite Matt and Silver as well as in color Prime, Moto, and Spectrum Fluor paint schemes.

At the other end is the Legend helmet, which just got a new look for those loving the retro style. The helmet comes with a glass-fiber reinforced shell and integrated neck straps for more protection along with oldschool touches like the optional short sun shade and goggles.

The interior is leather trimmed, the rim is chrome-plated, and the exterior is available in the new Tricolored paint scheme seen in the pictures here, along with Black Storm metallic and the nineT deco.
