We're not big fans of OEM-branded apparel, but this industry segment brings huge profits, as many bike enthusiasts are really into buying and wearing such items. And because BMW is one of the leading names in the business, here's the newest items added to their collection.
Aside from garments, BMW Motorrad figured out that their customers might also love to have special bags in which to carry their gear. From casual city strolls and commuting to longer journeys and even bike trips, the new BMW bags have everything covered.
The BMW Messenger Bag is a practical shoulder bag for daily use, and it can accommodate a laptop up to 17", plus a water bottle and other important items. The repellent waxed canvas and the roll closure prevent water from entering the bag, keeping your stuff safe even in the rain. The PU-coated polyester internal lining is waterproof.
With a capacity of 18 liters (0.63 cubic feet) and a removable hip strap, the BMW Messenger Bag can be your luggage of choice while walking, cycling and even on the bike. The bag is available in black with a two-color, length-adjustable shoulder strap for €100 ($113).
The 30-liter (1 cubic foot) base volume can be expanded thanks to a zip, with the extra compartment providing enough space for a helmet. The main compartment also has an intermediate base that allows to create two distinct storage spaces if need be.
This rucksack comes with four external compartments and an interior net pocket in the lid, plus two small zipped compartments in the removable hip strap. Ergonomically shaped and with padded, breathable shoulder straps, the Function Rucksack can also be strapped onto the bike like a roll pack. Available in gray / white / red / black, this bag has a price of €135 ($152).
The main compartment can be divided into two sections, just like that of the Rucksack, but it is also lockable, and the separators can be easily and quickly folded away when not needed. The lower compartment is padded and can house a helmet. A large fabric bag is also supplied for storing the boots, but they'll not fit in the bag, if that's what you were wondering about.
The bag also offers a couple of extra zipped compartments and has smooth-running rollers, telescopic and carry handles. It will be available in black / gray / white for €260 ($294).
