The BMW Group is the official sponsor of Team USA for the Sochi Olympics. The athletes made a quick stop in Munich this week, on their way to the Olympic games that are set to start in 8 days.
A special reception was held yesterday at the BMW Welt facility where more than 100 athletes and representatives of the USA Bobsled & Skeleton Federation and US Speedskating teams were invited to wish them “Good Luck” prior to flying to Sochi.
Of course, everybody got to enjoy a special tour of the museum and a full BMW brand experience. Furthermore, a special banner for Team USA will be displayed at BMW Welt to help the company’s latest campaign ‘Tweet Your Support’ that aims at promoting and supporting the Paralympic Teams, using the hashtag #BMWteets4USA on Twitter.
The collaboration between BMW and Team USA now enters its third year, the two organizations working together on developing a new tw0-man bobsled that is supposed to help the athletes recapture the Olympic gold in this event for the first time since 1936.
