BMW M6 Gran Coupe vs Audi RS7 Comparison Test

Now that the Audi RS7 is officially out, BMW’s M6 Gran Coupe has another competitor to defeat, next to Mercedes-Benz’s CLS63 AMG. The two were just put through a comparison test by the guys from Auto Express.

On paper, the RS7 looks better than the BMW. It has all-wheel-drive, the same amount of power and more torque, rated at 700 Nm compared to the 680 Nm of the M6. Furthermore, the 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint is done in 3.9 seconds, whereas the Gran Coupe does it in 4.1 seconds, just as the drag race test proves.

However, a car is not only judged by the numbers it posts on paper and how it looks. It’s also being judged based on how it feels and the Audi is really, really not what the Auto Express team was hoping for. It turns out its insipid and lacks feeling, the steering making you feel numb and pointless behind the wheel.

On the other hand, the BMW, with its RWD and blaring engine is a lot more fun and pulse raising, making you wonder if this is really a 4-seater or just a Coupe everyone is treating like a 4-door car, without noticing it.

Also, according to them, even the interior feels more luxurious inside the Bavarian. Overall, the BMW wins once again. Check out the video.
