BMW M6 Goes for Old School Tire Lettering

The current BMW F13 M6 cannot be called ‘old’. Not by any chance. That’s because it was launched just a couple of years ago and it’s en route to get a mild facelift in the next few years (most likely 2016). Even so, for some people, mixing new and older styles makes for a pretty explosive cocktail.

The M6 is actually a beast. We had the chance to review it and were both impressed and disappointed at the same time. Those of you looking for a super sharp sports car/coupe should look in other places. The M6 was and still is a super-powerful GT car and that’s about it.

Sure, you can take it to the track and you’ll probably have a lot of fun with it but it’s no GT-R fighting monster, despite its specs. What the M6 will do is carry you around in absolute comfort at mind-boggling speeds.

With a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 under the bonnet making 560 HP and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque, the two ton weight of the thing is not a big problem. You won’t even feel it as heavy, excepting tight, fast corners.

Now, apart from the performance point of view, the M6 is also a good looking car. Most owners take pride in their pure Coupe but a big part of them is also looking into making them ‘special’. What’s more common than wishing to be special, right?

The car we’re looking at today, combines old-school elements with the new-age look of the car. It was put together by the guys from Royal 1 Motorsport and the word ‘impressive’ doesn’t do it justice.

They fitted the Bimmer with ADV10 Track Spec SL wheels measuring 21x10 inches up front and 21x11.5 inches round the back featuring a brushed finish for the centers with polished lips.

Behind them you can spot a set of Brembo calipers and disks while up front an M Performance blacked out kidney grille set welcomes you as well as a new splitter. Oh, and those old school elements? Check out the crazy big and white lettering on those tires. Definitely not something everyone would go for.
