Ever since 2006, BMW has let the M division provide the safety cars for the MotoGP championship. For this year, they had plenty of models to choose from, but we’re glad they chose the fastest of them all, a car who’s performance can almost be considered supercar-like.
The M3, 1-Series M Coupe and X6 M have all done their job well, but now it’s time for them to be forgotten, since the new M6 Coupe is ready for the track and will break ground at the Nurburgring.

For now the 1-Series M Coupe is still a valuable track tool for the MotoGP championship, but from mid-season on, the M6 Coupe will take over.

BMW fans will get their first chance to see the new M6 safety car at this weekend’s Nurburgring 24 Hours endurance race, leading an M-specific fan race.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
