BMW M5 Sleeper Drag Races Lamborghini Murcielago, Trampling Occurs

When it comes to the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 involved in the drag race that brought us here, the matter is simple - the output of the supercar is written in its badge. But what about the BMW M5 it went up against?

So, is this M5 a sleeper or not? Well, I'm pretty sure the question we have here is an opinion splitter, so we'll start with the facts nobody can deny.

This M5, which belongs to the previous F10 generation, has been massaged by an aftermarket developer called Gorilla Performance. And the output of its twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 now sits at 850 ponies.

Given the fact that we're talking about a considerable jump, even if one would use the 600 hp output of the M5 Competition instead of the 560 hp muscle number of the "standard" car, there will be plenty of aficionados agreeing to the use of the said label.

As for the other camp, well, those gear heads will probably talk about the stickers present of the Bavarian machine, which admittedly provide hints towards its improved performance.

Regardless, the Sant'Agata Bolognese devil and the four-door animal got together during a dedicated event, which meant they could enjoy the benefits of a runway.

To be more precise, the velocity tools went for a rolling start taking place at 50 km/h, while their battle lasted for a full kilometer - please use this as an example towards staying off the street and heading towards the track when that right foot starts itching, okay boys and girls?

Now, while the said battle kicks off at the 2:10 point of the clip below, the part that follows is also worthy of one's undivided attention. And that's because the vid also showcases a drag race between the Murcie and another Lamborghini, namely an Urus (think: 650 hp in stock form).
