Living in Dubai certainly isn’t easy. Get yourself a nice, uber-sedan to use as your daily driver and someone will almost certainly ruin your day by flaunting his or her even more expensive and luxurious car, just like it seems to be the case here.
The owner of this M5 was probably more than happy with his car and the way it looked like when he parked it in an underground lot at one of the many of Dubai’s shopping centers. Then someone parked a Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe next to it and it was game over.
While the Rolls and Bimmer are basically brothers, when it comes to exclusivity, price tags and performance, the two are at opposite polls.
The M5 is aiming at being hardcore on the track and off it, offering 560 HP and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque out of a twin turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine. At the same time, the suspension and everything else was set up to provide both balance and comfort at the same time.
Step into the Rolls and it’s a completely different story. The smaller Phantom version has a 6.75-liter V12 engine under the bonnet that makes 460 HP and 531 lb-ft (720 Nm) of torque, enough to cater to your every need while feeling like a king. The price tag also makes you feel like royalty, starting at well over $400,000.
PS: check out the license plates on the M5!
