The special BMW M5 30 Jahre Edition might be a rare car but that doesn’t mean the Abu Dhabi Dealership won’t get one. So what if there are only 300 in the world? Money will buy anything these days so the guys from the United Arab Emirates got one for their showroom floor.
The photos of the most powerful car BMW ever made showed up on their Facebook account, as they usually do and we couldn’t help but notice it. That Individual Frozen Silver color and the bi-color wheels make it stand out at any time, even when standing still.

However, this M5 is best appreciated in motion. That’s because its engine is the king of all engines ever made by the M division. It puts out 600 HP and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. It might be a little down on torque compared to the plants fitted in the new X5 and X6 M but it makes up with horsepower.

The sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph) is also absolutely stunning especially when you grasp the size of this thing and the fact that it has rear-wheel drive. 3.9 seconds (when using the launch control feature on the 7-speed DCT gearbox) is not bad at all considering it weighs 2 tons and will carry four people in the outmost comfort.

The rear differential was also changed to offer better traction and control on the track but we have a hunch that won’t be the case with any of the 300 units made because they will most likely end up in private collections.

With a price starting at $138,725 in the US, this is hardly a cheap car. At the same time, it’s less than we expected considering the performance it offers. In Abu Dhabi we’re sure that asking such sums won’t pose a problem however and we’re actually curious to see how much the owner paid for it in the first place. Any guesses?
