Current owner and players of the Gran Turismo 6 video game are in for a treat. Yesterday, BMW announced at EICMA that they will be introducing the M4 Safety Car in the virtual world for PlayStation 3 players, for free. Basically, if you already own GT6 you’ll get this car as a free DLC.
The car is also supposed to make an appearance in Milan this week but so far, we saw no sign of it. The M Performance M4 Safety Car was built by BMW to showcase the latest accessories the company offers for its M model.

To set it apart from the rest of the crowd, the vehicle was dressed up in the BMW Motorsport colors using 3M vinyl. That alone tells you that something’s up. However, it was just the beginning.

The Safety Car also was decked with the complete M Performance set including a carbon fiber splitter system, side splitters, carbon fiber mirror caps, carbon fiber rear spoiler, carbon fiber rear diffuser, black BMW kidney grilles, black side gills, and titanium exhaust system with carbon fiber exhaust tips.

Since it’s used on tracks around the world during official competitions, the car also received a set of LED grille-mounted flashers and an LED rooftop light bar.

Of course, all of them are included in the game as you can see in the photos posted in our photo gallery below that are actual screenshots taken inside the virtual world. This isn't the first time BMW and Polyphonic, the publisher of Gran Turismo 6 are working together. The two joined forces when the M4 Concept first came out, launching it inside the game's virtual world. It was nearly a year ago...
