For many moto enthusiasts the first race of the 2014 MotoGP season was one of this year’s highlights. For us though, those more into four wheels rather than just two, the main attraction in Qatar this weekend was the BMW M4 Coupe Safety Car that made its debut.
As BMW has been the official partner of the MotoGP events for the last 15 years, the latest model in the M stable was introduced and the world paused for a minute.

The standard model is attractive enough as it is but in the special livery it received for being a Safety Car it looked even better. Add in the M Performance Parts as well and you’re in for a great looking car that also sounds and drives unbelievably well.

The driver of the car either decided to show off the massive amount of torque the car has on the rear axle or he wasn’t prepared for it but, when he set out on the maiden lap around the track, there was some rubber burning going on to the excitement and ecstasy of the crowd.

That’s was also when we got to hear the M Performance exhaust roar out the top of its lungs and boy oh boy, goose bumps were immediate, even though the sound of the recording could’ve been better.

The car is wearing the whole M Performance package that includes the titanium exhaust with carbon finishers, black front grilles, front splitters, carbon rear diffusor, carbon rear spoiler, mirror caps, side skirts, alcantara steering wheel, Recaro seats and even M Performance floor mats. Check it out in the videos below.
