BMW M4 GTS Goes Berserk During Nurburgring Experience, Loud Exhaust Is a War Cry

When a BMW M4 GTS meets the Nurburgring with an all-in attitude, you can expect the resulting experience to be nothing short of breathtaking and this is exactly what the clip below provides.
The footage brings us an M4 GTS that laps the Green Hell as if willing to prove its official 7:28 lap time. We'll remind you this makes the track special a whopping 24 seconds quicker around the Nordschleife when compared to the already-stunning "standard" M4.

Speaking of the difference between the two M4 flavors, the twin-turbo 3.0-liter straight-six up front jumps from 424 to 493 hp, while the torque figure is boosted to 443 lb-ft.

Dialing up the boost is always easy, but the German engineers have come up with a rara avis, especially in the street-legal car realm. We're talking about the water injection system. This delivers a spray of water into the intake manifold - with the liquid instantly evaporating, the temperature of the intake air is lowered, while the risk of detonation is reduced, with the superior boost thus receiving serious support.

So, what does this mean for the human controlling the car, in the case of intense track time, as we can see below? Aside from handling his driver's seat duties, the manhandler of the Bimmer must also refill the 1.3-gallon (five-liter) tank in the luggage compartment. And under such driving conditions, expect the reservoir to need attention every time your refill the gas tank.

Oh, and let's not forget that one of the best parts of the BMW M4 GTS is the fact that you'll also see it flying from one vibrator to another on US tracks. Unlike its predecessors (from the E30 M3 Evolution to the E92-generation M3 GTS), this is also a treat for American customers, albeit with an overall production figure of 700 units (5 per day).

P.S.: If the visual part of the adventure below won't make you dizzy, the soundtrack may just make that happen. Speaking of which, given how quick the M4 GTS is, perhaps M Division engineers should've added a Le Mans-style driver hydration system to the water injection feature under the hood.
