No, you eyes are not playing a trick on you - the screenshot you see here actually shows a BMW M4 GTS duking it out with another M4 GTS.
This is all part of a clip that fully deserves the "BMW M4 GTS against the world" tag, with the drag racing action taking place on an airfield in Germany.

The Bavarians are only building 700 units of the track-frenzy M4, at a pace of five cars per day. Thus, we wouldn't be surprised if M Division aficionados who could afford such a water-injected toy, but couldn't get their hands on one, have adverse reactions when checking out the piece of footage at the bottom of the page.

As for the rest of the action in the video, we don't want to spoil, the fun, so we'll stick to simply listing the go-fast beasts that compere against the Bimmer.

The BMW camp battle wouldn't be complete without a fight involving an F10 M5, while Affalterbach competition includes a Mercedes-AMG C63, as well as mighty Mercedes-AMG GT S. American velocity behemoth fans will be thrilled to see a C7 Corvette making a cameo appearance, while those who are into tuning haven't been forgotten either - the otherworldly Audi RS3 in the clip speaks for itself.

It's difficult to talk about the M4 GTS and its 500 hp incarnations of the S55 engine without mentioning the rumor mill talk surrounding the unit.

You see, with BMW having been spied testing an even spicier M4 version alongside the "standard" model for the 2018 mid-cycle revamp, the latter is the one we're focusing on.

Tentatively dubbed M4 CS, this could receive the M4 GTS powertrain, but we can't be sure about the output. In turn, the "normal" M4 is expected to lend its twin-turbo straight-six to the also-spied M2 CS.

And once the extended BMW M family hits the steers (the models mentioned above will be released next year), we should be able to bring you insane in-family races.
