BMW M4 Gran Coupe Rendered

Now that the ‘Gran Coupe Cat’ is out of the bag, renderers all over the world can start imagining how the hardcore M4 version will look like. Sure, at the moment, there’s no official confirmation of such a car but I’m sure it will pop-up later this year or in 2015.
Since all the 4-door versions of the 4 Series are 0.2 seconds slower than their Coupe brothers, I’m expecting the same to happen with the M4. Therefore, the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint should be done in 4.3 seconds with the 7-speed DCT gearbox and 4.5 seconds with the manual. Those times would make this model dangerously fast and extremely close to the M6 Gran Coupe.

However, the two wouldn’t share the engine. Whilst the 6er uses a 4.4-liter V8 with 560 HP and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque, the 4er would use the 3-liter biturbo unit of the M3, with 431 HP and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque.

Until we get to see it though, we’ll have to keep the suppositions to a minimum, to avoid falling into ridiculousness. The guys from X-Tomi Design are far from ridiculous though, with their rendering of an M4 Gran Coupe. Their design looks like we’re guessing the production model will, with the same aggressive front end we saw on the F80 M3 and F82 M4.
