Before the 2014 DTM Championship begins, the BMW teams will be heading down to Budapest and Hockenheim for a few practice laps. That’s where we’ll be seeing the new M4 DTM model in action for the first time.
The first practice runs will take place on the Hungaroring between March 31st and April 3rd, 4 days of intense racing aboard a completely new model, preparing the drivers and the teams for DTM’s return to the Hungarian track for the first time since 1988.

Just two weeks later, from 14th to 17th April, the same will be done on the Hockenheimring Baden-Wurttemberg, just two weeks before the official start of the 2014 season, where last minute fine tuning will be possible.

Last year, after the 2013 DTM Championship was concluded, BMW announced that the M3 Coupe will be retired from the competition after 48 DTM wins. The M4 will have some pretty big shoes to fill!
