BMW Motorsport has released the first teaser image of the 2014 M4 DTM, which is scheduled to make its road course debut in late March, during testing at Hungaroring track.
“Testing the BMW M4 DTM for the first time. Here’s a first glimpse of the car. More to come...,” is the message that comes with the teaser posted by BMW Motorsport on Facebook.
The photo doesn’t reveal much, but we can notice that the race car will come with a BMW M Performance Parts livery and the traditional blue-purple-red stripes.
Developed to replace the M3 DTM, the M4 DTM will begin testing in Hungary on March 31. The German company will then move to Hockenheimring between April 14-17 April, only two weeks before the 2014 DTM season kicks off.
Four teams and eight drivers will be using BMW M4s this season. Their opponents will be driving Audi RS5 and Mercedes-Benz C-Coupe-based vehicles.
